It has been rough...

It has been a rough week...

I am tired and am having a rough time getting motivated.

I am not sure if it is the fact that we "ALMOST" had a snow day this week and were denied. The kids, and the teachers, for the most part were all testy and unmotivated for the rest of the day. Folks were pissed at meteorologists, who were pretty much predicting inches of snow as early as a week prior. They fluctuated back and forth and all of a sudden the time it would hit began to go later and later. To wake up Tuesday morning with absolutely nothing on the ground and cold air in the lungs was awful. I certainly could have used a day off even thought we would have to make them up in June.

I am not sure if it is just a change of heart and thought process? So much is going on and so much is occupying my thoughts here recently. I have written about prayers for guidance and for patience recently. Needless to say, am just not the patient kind of person I guess when it comes to certain issues and aspects of my life. I guess I need to be realistic about that and accept that fact.

Oh well...

A little more soap box action...

So sad that some Americans cannot get this straight.
And then they disgustingly rant racist remarks that are so Anti-American and mistake what our fore fathers had envisioned for our country.
We have and always will be a "melting pot". This is what immigrants traveled many MANY miles to pursue. The right to live freely, love freely, and pursue life, liberty and happiness.
It's in the fabric of our nation, folks.
And then you just show your ignorant stupidity by trying to state that our national anthem is "America the Beautiful" and then we all just have to shake our heads, smack our foreheads, and get that feeling of disbelief...
What I do take great solace in is that each one of these comments is not anonymous...so these three doofuses can not walk out in the open in their ignorance...and we can point and laugh.

ENDA...the next discrimination allowance in America

John Boehner, someone in American government I have never been particularily fond of, has drawn a hard line on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act and reveals that it has no likelihood of passing this year. He is going to bury this act in amongst all of the bureaucratic bulls*@t that American government is known for.

Boehner’s remarks show that he will most likely not schedule ENDA, which would provide antidiscrimination protections for LGBT workers nationwide, for a vote on the House floor in 2014. Last April the act had easily passed in the Senate with a vote of 64-32 and was brought to Boehner's chambers for the next vote. But in November Boehner was quoted stating that ENDA was “unnecessary.”

UNNECESSARY, Mr. Boehner?? So many many MANY dedicated LGBT workers across America being fired without notice, without warning, and purely for how they live their lives is unnecessary...Or who they marry in a state that recognize love... GOOD, DEDICATED, HARD-WORKING individuals being fired...

And you sir, are the head and voice of your entire party...
HMMM...
That is just sad.

I guess my vote for your party, for your upcoming Presidential candidate, for your conservative discriminatory rhetoric was just placed in the other column straight across the board...

WAKE UP!!!! Get off your high and mighty and let's get real. It IS happening and it IS VERY NECESSARY!!

Just plain sad...
